From Your Lips
music by Josh Woodward
words and vocal melody by Sean Wright
Rain splatters your skin
As we entwine in sin
Is what we do so wrong?
Tell me,
Tell me
I need to hear those words
Tell me, tell me
I need to hear those words
Falling from your lips
Wind cuts to our bones
As we rip off our clothes
Is what we do so bad?
Tell me,
Tell me
I need to taste those words
Tell me, tell me
I want to swallow your words
Falling from your lips
Falling, falling, falling...
Down.
Take my hand
Bury us beneath the leaves
Soft autumn leaves
Falling, falling down
On the ground
We can hide beneath the ground
We can hide
Our love beneath the ground.
Tell me, tell me why!
Does my love hurt you so much?
Tell me,
Why does this love
Kill me inside?
Liner notes:
It's difficult to say what deep emotions this song exploded from me. Josh's music just bought out a well of pent up stuff. I get a lump in my throat every time I hear this one. The lyrics have dual meaning, and I'll say no more. I recorded the vocals and wrote the words 1st November 2009. The music is from the instrumental track "Border Blaster" on the wonderful album BREADCRUMBS. Released 5th Oct 2009. www.joshwoodward.com
